volunteer application steps

  • The first step in becoming a volunteer with World Relief Sacramento is to submit a volunteer application.

  • Once you submit an application, a World Relief representative will contact you with information to register for a required 4-hour Volunteer Orientation held once a month. This orientation is meant to give you an introduction into refugee resettlement as well as introduce our guiding volunteer principles.

  • After attending, all volunteers must discuss final placement with a Volunteer Coordinator, complete a background check, watch our 7 min. Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse webinar, in addition to clearing two character references.
